YOU'VE GOT QUESTIONS
I've got answers.
LONGARMING
PIECE OF SHEET
- 01Yes, it's like a regular one, but it ate its vegetables. My quilting machine is a 14' Gammill Statler Ascend. His name is Waldorf.
- 02No, I only do edge-to-edge pantos.
- 03Not quite as controversial, it just means the same design across the whole quilt.
- 04Depends on the quilt size, design complexity, and current work queue, but I'll try to get it back to your friend ASAP for maximum nap potential. Current turn around time is on my Home page.
- 05I have seen it all, or close to it! Just bring it on, the more "unique," the better the story. And there is no judgement here- I do not want anyone to feel their quilt top isn't worth quilting. We all start somewhere; if you love it, I love it! The only thing I ask is to go check out the Quilt Prep section for best practices. Contact me if you have any questions.
- 06My machine is powerful, but not that powerful. Backings must be at least 8" bigger (length and width) than your top. Check out Quilt Prep for more info.
- 07I aim for a good color selection, and yes, probably even that beige.
- 08My machine will accommodate quilt tops up to 140".
- 09Yes, and I highly recommend it when you have several smaller pieces (baby quilts, table runners, place mats, etc...).
- 10Yes, but you can send your own (clean, new, pet and smoke-free) batting, though it's probably more economical to buy mine than to ship it. See the quilting cost calculator for more info.
- 11I utilize Pirate Ship to get the best shipping rate when it is time to send your quilt home. Regardless of the shipping service (USPS, FedEx, UPS), I always opt for tracking and recommend additional insurance. Shipping cost will be provided on your final invoice.
