My Story
02 things you should know about me:
1) I am a smart ass.
2) I hate talking/writing about myself... I'd rather go to the dentist.
3) I will take any shortcut/help I can get when it comes to writing about myself.
So, I asked Google Gemini to help me out. And, I've gotta say, it's pretty damn accurate! Did I mention I am a smart ass?
Your Quilt's Fairy Godmother (with a Longarm)
Hi there, fabric fanatics! I'm [Insert Name], and I'm here to rescue your quilt tops from a life of lonely, unquilted existence. Think of me as your quilt's personal fairy godmother, but instead of a wand, I wield a magnificent longarm machine.
My Accidental Quilting Adventure
My quilting journey started with a simple mission: to make a baby quilt. Instead, I accidentally created a quilt top the size of a small country. Then, I realized, "Hey, someone's gotta quilt this thing!" And thus, my longarm love affair began. I've been wrangling fabric and threads ever since, and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
[Optional: Add a funny anecdote. Example: "I once tried to quilt a design that looked like a flock of sheep. It ended up looking more like a herd of caffeinated caterpillars. But hey, it was unique!"]
Why I'm Your Quilt's Best Friend
Let's face it, wrestling a king-sized quilt through a domestic machine is like trying to parallel park a bus in a phone booth. That's where I come in! I take your hard work and make it shine with quilting designs that range from "classic and elegant" to "hold my thread, I've got an idea!"
My Superpowers (aka Services)
-
Edge-to-Edge Magic: For when you want your quilt to look like it was kissed by a quilting angel.
-
Heirloom Heroics: I treat your precious quilts with the respect they deserve, even if they're older than my microwave.
-
Binding Ninja Skills (Optional): I can finish that edge so you don't have to.
-
Quilt Therapy Sessions (aka Consultations): Let's chat about your vision over tea (or coffee, I don't judge).
My Philosophy: No Quilt Left Behind!
I believe every quilt deserves to be loved and quilted, even the ones that look like they were made during a power outage. I'm all about making the process fun and stress-free. After all, quilting should be enjoyable, not a source of existential dread.
When I'm Not Quilting, I'm...
Probably untangling thread, drinking copious amounts of caffeine, or trying to explain to my cat why he can't sleep on the longarm. I also enjoy [Mention a hobby with a humorous twist, e.g., "attempting to garden (mostly weeds), or watching quilting tutorials while pretending I'm not learning anything new."].

Budapest pics
If you have never been to Budapest, you should go! It is a beautiful city. It's a trip to see so much of the old, stern, Cold War era Soviet Union mixed in with gorgeous architecture.
The Parliament building, you can't miss the picture, is completely lit up at dusk and lights out promptly at 10 p.m.
Flipperz Muzeum is a pinball museum- over 300 playable pinball games. I LOVE pinball. It was TOTALLY AWESOME! For $13, you can play ALL OF THEM for as long as you want. Or can tolerate... I aggravated the shit out of my tendonitis after about 02 hours.
And then there's the Ruin Bar. It is indeed a gutted, brick building turned into an amazing labyrinth of nooks and crannies consisting of, you guessed it, bars (and cozy seating areas).
The details
SO, JUST LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF
I spent 23 years in the U.S. Coast Guard; I retired as Chief Marine Science Technician back in 2020. I (still) work for the government, you know, like Kent Mansley (if you get that, we will probably get along just fine). I am a smart-ass, and I wield dark humor like a shield to protect my sanity.
Aside from the longarming and quilting, my partner-in-crime and I love to travel every chance we get. We also hit up thrift stores, garage sales, and estate sales looking for those neglected pieces we can rescue or repurpose. There's also welding arts going on in the garage at any given time.
Whenever the weather is nice, and the wind isn’t being a total ass (we live about 1.5 hours from Kitty Hawk, NC) we sit around the fire pit, share a drink, chat, and try to spot satellites. Crazy life, right?
I'm an original 80's feral kid
I grew up on hose water, Saturday morning cartoons, USA Up! All Night, punk rock, and very little supervision.
Why does this matter?
It shaped who I am, how I see the world, and interact with clients. I cuss. I don't censor myself. I refuse to give my energy away to people who drain me. And sure as hell don't pander to the quilt police. I am middle-aged, tired of the dumb that seems to have infected people, and intolerant of bullshit.
But I do wholeheartedly support those who are creative, authentic, and wildly alive in their expression, because life is what you make of it. Be creative, be weird, be you, be happy. This is a safe space.
MY FAVORITES:
FOOD
I am a foodie. There's not a lot that I don't like. My current favorite spot, if you're ever in Chesapeake, VA, is Neat Bird- Chicken & Whiskey. The BEST chicken. Get the Henrietta.
VACAY SPOT
Portland, ME is a spot I will go back to whenever I get the chance. Delicious food, local coffee roasters, amazing breweries & distilleries. Scratch Baking Co. in South Portland has chocolate chip cookies the size of your face.
